Yesterday morning my shopping Sister-in-law took me to Glasgow, where the girls casually and sweetly accepted the outfit I had bought in Edinburgh on Monday and refunded the money.
I resisted the potential replacement frocks my Sister-in-law then tried to sell me, without admitting I was now intending to wear a turquoise thing bought in Appleby eight years ago. But on the way out...in the shoe department:

I've tried the chiropodist - or podiatrist as we now have to call her - this morning as I think the big toe on my left foot may need amputated.
Have never had anything like these before. I just sit staring at them in awe.
